Great Violin Miniatures
Encores, audience requests, and Monique’s personal favorites make up the repertoire on this recording. Contrasts abound with fiddle-inspired music by Copland and Kroll, to musical prayers: Bloch’s lamenting Nigun and Amy Beach’s Invocation. Some satirical humor is added with Shostakovitch Preludes, balanced with baroque works of Vitali and Kreisler.

Mother Goose Meets Father Bach
Mother Goose meets Father Bach” is a CD that features classic nursery rhymes, paired with music from Bach’s Orchestral Suites in a recording by the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. I intended it as a joyful way of promoting speech development and giving children a feeling of rhythm through rhyme. The rhymes match the meter, form, and mood of the music. I also created witty conversations between Mother Goose (myself) and Father Bach (Gregory Lehane), as each educates the other in musical and literary terms—a fun little bonus for any adults listening in. Ideal for car travel, the music and rhymes relax and stimulate the mind—and it just happens to be one of the best baby gifts ever!

Fussball a Tempo CD
Created to commemorate the 2006 Soccer World Cup in Germany, this CD was released by the Bavarian Radio to capture a tour program with Mead, prominent soccer players and the Munich Radio Orchestra. Co-narrator on the CD is Olaf Thon, from Germany’s national soccer team. Mead draws parallels between soccer and some of classical music’s most famous works. This program has been performed with major orchestras throughout Germany. It has also been adapted for baseball and football fans in the United States.
